This course is intended for junior students (3 LMD) in the French Language and Literature Department and involves careful instruction of English as both an academic subject and a foreign language.
Through this course, students will be able to:
1)- Acquire the fundamentals of the four skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
2)- Understand statements, questions, directives, and commands.
3)- Understand the nature and characteristics of the English language within a specific context and environment.
4)- Use the English language properly and effectively in different settings.
It is expected of students to successfully meet the essential requirements listed below:
1)- To exhibit a positive attitude towards English language learning.
2)- To have a basic command of the English language, i.e. a fundamental mastery of grammatical rules and their use in communication.
3)- To have a rudimentary knowledge of English history and culture.
