The main objective of this course is to equip students with the theoretical and practical foundations needed to analyze, design, and implement systems that regulate themselves without continuous human intervention. Students learn how to model dynamic systems mathematically — using differential equations, transfer functions, and state-space representations — and evaluate system behavior in terms of stability, accuracy, and transient response. They also design controllers such as PID controllers that make a system respond in a desired way. The course bridges mathematics and engineering, enabling students to understand how feedback loops are used in real-world applications — from robotics and aerospace to industrial processes and consumer electronics — ensuring systems perform reliably and efficiently under varying conditions.
